Amie Thain - Administrator

Hi, I'm Amie Thain, I am the administrator for Midwives of Algoma. Previously a PSW and then a hairstylist, I am excited to return to health care in a new role supporting families in the Algoma region. When I am not answering the phone at the clinic you can find me camping, hiking, or crafting!
Tianna Lalonde,
Registered Midwife
Hi, I'm Tianna Lalonde, a Registered Midwife with Midwives of Algoma. I completed a Bachelor's of Arts in Women and Gender Studies at Laurentian University in 2018, where I first fell in love with the world of birth. I went on to graduate from Laurentian University's Midwifery program (la Profession de sage-femme) in 2022. I was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie and I feel so grateful to be able to care for families in my hometown. I'm passionate about supporting people through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. When I'm off call, you'll usually find me spending time with family and friends, reading a good book, or camping.

Natalie Leduc
Registered Midwife

Hello/Bonjour,
My name is Natalie, I am one of the midwives here at Midwives of Algoma. After years of travelling to practice midwifery around Canada, my family and I decided to move to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. I feel honoured to work with these amazing midwives and feel privileged to be invited into your journey of parenthood. I am passionate about maternity care, I love to teach and enjoy seeing families develop and grow. When I'm not working, I'll be spending time with my boys - we travel to see family often but also enjoy watching a good movie and playing board games. Hope to see you soon!
Emily Brock
Registered Midwife
Hi, I’m Emily Brock, and I’m so excited to have joined the Midwives of Algoma! I was born and raised in Sudbury, but am thrilled to be putting down roots in Sault Ste. Marie. I've been interested in healthcare my whole life and began my education journey studying Kinesiology at Laurentian University. I completed my midwifery degree at McMaster University in Hamilton. Throughout my training, I had the privilege of learning in a variety of Ontario communities including Muskoka, Sudbury, Markham, the Sault and Thunder Bay. In every setting, I'm reminded what a profound honour it is to stand with women and families during this transformative time in their lives. When I’m not catching babies, you’ll find me shooting 35mm film, hunting for treasures at the thrift store or camping in my rooftop tent!

Kellyan Richards
Registered Midwife

Hi, I’m Kellyan Richards, a Registered Midwife and graduate of Laurentian University (2018). I grew up in Northern Ontario and always hoped to return. After five great years with Gentle Beginnings Midwifery in Cornwall, I relocated to Sault Ste. Marie to support families in the north. I’m now with Midwives of Algoma, providing inclusive, compassionate care through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with my family, camping, and knitting.
